"The Battle for Arab Democracy"

Cool-sounding Brit Hume-hosted special set to air on Fox News this weekend: "The Battle for Arab Democracy." Scheduled to run this Saturday June 3 at 10:00pm ET, the one-hour special is billed as examining the influence of democracy and U.S. policy in the Middle East, and as a look at the battle for hearts and minds in the Arab world. The special will include interviews with Middle East expert Dennis Ross (who will talk about America's non-military options in approaching problems in the region,) Secretary Condoleezza Rice, and Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya.

(The chart at left assigning degrees of freedom to Arab democracy in 2006 is from a cool Economist article on the same topic; reading seems like a good appetizer to FNC's Saturday special.)
