Please send your prayers and good wishes to Fox News Channel correspondent, new mother, and amazing human being Catherine Herridge, who is undergoing 10 hours of surgery today to give part of her liver to her 5-month-old son, Peter. The New York Daily News reports:
Herridge and her son will undergo the 10-hour operation today at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Peter was born with the liver disease biliary atresia, which hits roughly 300 children a year.
The infant has been on the transplant list since he was born, but his situation has gotten so critical that without Herridge giving part of her liver, he would die.
Catherine will be off the air for at least two months while she and Peter recover. TCG sends her most heartfelt prayers and best wishes to Catherine and Peter.

We just got the first update from the doctor: both Catherine Herridge and Peter are doing great. No problems at all. The update was brief b/c the surgeries just got started.
