Tomah Newspapers Editorial Page Editor Steve Rundio blogs that FNC is the new global threat:
"Fox News: terror is good. Brian Kilmeade of Talk TV, otherwise known as Fox News, said the following after last week's terror attacks in London: '...at the G8 summit, where their topic Number 1 --believe it or not-- was global warming, the second was African aid. And that was the first time since 9-11 when they should know, and they do know now, that terrorism should be Number 1. But it's important for them all to be together. I think that works to our advantage, in the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened.' Translated: It's a good thing that terrorists launch attacks, because if they didn't launch attacks, we would forget about terrorism, and terrorism would no longer be topic Number 1, which would undermine the war on terror. And people thought Dan Rather was nuts."
Rundio then free-associates his way over to the economy:
"Recession? Give me a break. Look at the cars we drive -- bigger than ever. Look at the houses we build -- more square footage than ever. Look how much we spend to entertain ourselves. Nobody who spends $35,000 on a passenger vehicle or $70 to watch an automobile race has any claim to being economically stressed."
And dissolves into total incoherence:
"War supporters can have liberation. Or they can have flypaper. They can't have both."
