Reporting on John Bolton's UN appointment just now, Koppel said, "Bolton has been downright demonized by Democrats. But who is the man behind the mustache?"
Sounds unusually, for a CNN correspondent, fair-minded to me, not to mention cute and funny. Actual objective journalism may have been committed. But it's even more notable in light of how she aroused my suspicions on Saturday, when she interviewed a terrorism expert on the London bombings and asked:
"How can we...[Koppel catches herself, pauses, and restates the question]....how can US authorities prevent an attack here?"
Heady stuff for CNN. Can it last? Well, if Andrea appears on the air wearing an "Impeach Bush" sticker on her lapel, we'll know she's gotten a warning.
