Hot enough for you, Olbermann?
Written By mista sense on Saturday, July 1, 2006 | 8:55 AM
If hell hath no fury like an Olbermann girlfriend scorned, then hell just got hotter. The blog authoress/former Keith Olbermann fan who was apparently, allegedly close to the "Countdown" host is heating up her blog, posting the original email she supplied to Lloyd Grove at the NYDN, that he published on June 14. She addresses those who accuse her of making this whole thing up, and describes the sourcing process Grove required before he ran the story....check it out:
This was my initial foray into releasing emails. I gave this email to Lloyd Grove who printed it in the New York Daily News. For those of you who believe that papers can print anything they want, let me desribe to you what the process was like: I had to give him my name, address, and phone number, even though I am an anonymous source in his column. I had to produce the email, and he had to invite comments from both KO and MSNBC about it. My one and only regret here is that I'm sure it was quite hurtful to Rita Cosby and she did not deserve to be publically humiliated and insulted like this.
And check out her FAQ in the "Comments" section (her answers in bold:)
"Do you find that this blog has brought you the closure that you've been looking for?"
It's helped. I've met other women who have been through similar situations with him. I'm not beating myself up anymore thinking I "wasn't good enough" for him because it's just they way he is. It's his MO.
"Have you heard from KO since creating the blog?"
No, an apology would've avoided this mess.
"I'm still confused as to what he did to you that was so bad. Isn't everyone dumped at one point in their lives?"
It's the way he did it. I flew out to see him after we had planned it for a long time. I took a week off from work to be with him. He was incredibly sweet and seemed to be into me but as soon as he got what he wanted, he was out of there. He said we would do something the next day but instead I got some bogus story via email about a dying relative. When I asked (by email) for an explanation he told me "never write to me again."
It was an incredibly cruel thing to do especially when I held him in such high regard. I never imagined he could be so heartless.
I wonder if he made her pay for her own plane ticket to see him from, apparently, the West Coast no less. Dag, that is the ULTIMATE insult, if so. But here's my favorite comment; Karma certainly is the proverbial bitch.

While it may not be a crime, it's certainly morally wrong to solicit fans for sex. Beyond that his credibility is greatly damaged when he engages in behaviors such as this then turns around on air and moralizes to the rest of us when he's every bit as guilty of being a hypocrite as the people he attempts to lampoon via WPITW [Olbermann's "Worst Person in the World" segment] every night.

(Editorial note--word to the lawyers: All of the above is, of course, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.)
