Page Six reports this morning that top execs at FNC are rightfully miffed that "In Touch" mag tried to break news by reporting that the cable channel was hiring Star Jones. I know that non-stop writing about the low-rent high-finance exploits of Britney and Kevin has probably shrunk the collective cerebral cortex at In Touch, but In Touch shouldn't advertise that fact. Here's the thing about Star--when she did what she did her last day on "The View," she basically announced that she had nothing but contempt for the conventions of professionalism and structured corporate hierarchy...aka "I'm talent! Don't question me!" No intelligent news organization would hire her...which means it's going to be really interesting to see who does.
