Johnny Dollar has the video: Fox chief Roger Ailes reacts to the release of Steve and Olaf. TVNewser has the play-by-play of the Fox & Friends appearance, and Drudge has the text of Mr. Ailes' statement. From "Fox & Friends":

AILES: Three o' clock this morning, John Moody, who was here, he's our senior vice president for journalism, called me at home, he said we have a new tape that is somewhat problematic. On the other hand, we are still hearing we may be within hours. So I came in, we were very happy to hear that the transfer had taken place, they were released..."

He continued: "...I just talked to Condoleeza Rice a few minutes ago. The State Department's been helpful, as has the Palestinian prime minister and the Israelis. This has been a sort of international effort. So we have a lot of people we should thank."

"I know Steve quite well. He's a very gentle spirit, but you know, he went through the embed training when we were with the military, and I said 'Steve, you're kind of old to do that, aren't you?,' and he said 'Nah, I can do it,' so he is quietly a good tough guy."
