Paint a Symphony

It's the way of simple, interactive browser-based content-- you always spend way, way more time messing around with it than you expect you will. So it is with Visual Acoustics, a project by Lewis Moberly. By moving the mouse around and "painting", you can play up to six different instruments at a time, and each sound has an accompanying visual. It's pretty trippy-- you can adjust the timing of the various musical notes yourself, or use presets if you're not so much the music theory genius.

It's fun to experiment with, so be patient while it loads. If an entire room full of monkeys with an entire room full of computers got to play with this, how long do you think it'd take them to compose an entire epic RPG soundtrack?
