Despite all my bitching and moaning lately, there are two things that make Leigh a glad girl.
First up, the Metal Gear 4 trailer. I don't mind advance hype as long as it's for a franchise I'm so intoxicated with love for that I probably wouldn't notice if it turns out to suck mightily. I adore Metal Gear. You've seen it, right?
Kojima says this is the last in the series and that he won't be directing anymore, but then, he always says that. Also, I think he said it's specifically the last Snake story, which doesn't rule out other prequels or Raiden sequels. Sign me on for another Big Boss and Ocelot story. In related news, Kojima also disliked "Min-E3."
Also, Konami announced the next Silent Hill game, as of yet titled only "Silent Hill V." It's gonna feature a war vet looking for his lil' bro; I sure hope they have some of that sexy PTSD psychosis going on. If you haven't gathered, soldiers with emotional trauma turn me on. There're two screenshots released that are up at Dtoid, and in case you haven't seen it, here's the not-at-all-informative teaser Konami flashed at E3.
It's nice to know that I'm still so easy to please-- I was surprised at how excited I can get just at that creepy red seal (a riff on the actual Seal of Metatron?) or at the sound of David Hayter's ridiculously hot voice.
