Cable Gamers remember that last week, PBS Ombudsman Michael Getler felt compelled to go far outside his lane--he is supposed to the internal watchdog for PBS, not the external critic of other media outfits--to trash Fox News for negatively photoshopping two New York Times employees.
But now, on "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart has savaged CNN's Lou Dobbs. Now Stewart has a perfect right to do what he does--TCG watches him all the time, in fact, because he does have a quality of acuity that's lacking in so much TV reporting.
But if Getler attacked Fox, wouldn't it make sense for him to attack Stewart? But Getler won't, of course.
And we all know why. Media bias is that bad--and that shameless.
