"Fox stands to become the first network to actively try to kill its viewers." Where's The Outrage At That Quote From a Liberal?

What if a conservative had written this inflammatory sentence: "CNN stands to become the first network to actively try to kill its viewers"? There would have been an outcry. But since it's Jacob Weisberg at snarky-liberal Slate.com, it's OK for him to write,"Fox stands to become the first network to actively try to kill its viewers."

These inflammatory and irresponsible words came up in response to Glenn Beck's expressed skepticism about the swine flu vaccine, even as, during the same segment, Bill O'Reilly said that he would get the swine flu vaccine.

From that exchange, Weisberg in inspired to snipe, "Fox stands to become the first network to actively try to kill its viewers." And nothing will happen to him.

For good measure, Weisberg, in the same piece, calls Fox "un-American." Nothing will happen to him for saying that, either.
