NPR's Mark Memmott sums up the feedback from NPR listeners/surfers on Brit Hume's advice to Tiger Woods. The headline, as we can see, reads "Split." Which is remarkable in and of itself, given the left-wing orientation of NPR.
But in fact, Hume won. It was close, 51:49, but a win is still a win. But NPR can't go that far. One can only imagine what the headline would have been like if Hume's side had lost--something like, "NPR Fans Reject Hume." And if the defeat had been thumping, then, of course, that would have been big news on NPR itself, not just its blog.
In the meantime, imagine what sentiment must be like for the rest of the country.
