Bill O'Reilly did a great job with Jon Stewart this week, and Stewart did a great job with O'Reilly. Both men showed that they had a sense of humor.
Stewart, of course, is a genius--The Cable Gamer has always been a fan.
And O'Reilly showed that he has a sense of nuance on the issues, and on the country, as when he conceded to Stewart, "the whole Iraq thing did not go well." And he also agreed with Stewart that too many foreign wars could "bankrupt" America.
That's why O'Reilly is such a strong survivor. Nobody doubts his populist orientiation, but he is simply not predictable. Good television, and a sense of learning and growth.
