So ESPN, part of Disney, and Microsft, have done a deal--an ESPN channel, ESPN 3, will be available to premium XBox subscribers. In other words, you'll be able to watch "TV" on your XBox.
It's only a matter of time before more content is similarly watchable online, or on what was once thought of as a "game." Including the news? What sort of premium channel will be offered in some new way that, say Comcast won't be able to control? Does anybody doubt that Google has a plan for taking advantage of this techno-potential, too?
Thus the future: All different kinds of content will be available through all different kinds of portals. And when I say "all," I do mean all.
