Will CNN be the "Criminal News Network"?

A new website, bluntly entitled NoToSpitzer.com, speaks up against the possibility--likelihood, even--that CNN will hire Eliot Spitzer. The site appears to be connected to the Kristin Davis for Governor campaign. She is the ex-madam now running as a long-shot libertarian in New York State, dubbing CNN as the "Criminal News Network" if they hire Spitzer.
But nonetheless, the Spitzer speculation is real, viz. this headline at AP: "Eliot Spitzer a hot property for cable news." As a former CNN-er, Frank Sesno--who still does the occasional special on CNN, so he's plugged in-- told the AP's David Bauder, "He's got personality, he's got smarts, he's got an edge and he's got enough controversy about him that the name means something." Well, that's one way of summing up Spitzer, and it might seem plausible enough to cynical and jaded media types, but for most Americans, not so much.
This will be interesting to see. Of course, MSNBC is in the hunt, too.
