CNN went to a lot of trouble to find a replacement for Larry King, and now we learn that King is going anywhere. Reportedly, the hangup is that King's proposed replacement, Briton Piers Morgan, can't get the right kind of work visa, to take King's place, working in the US.
But is that really true--did CNN simply do a bad job of immigration-lawyering? Whatever happened to "due diligence"? Hard to believe a big company could be so feckless, especially when so many Brits seem to be living and working in the US. But maybe it's true--maybe it's some lawyer's fault.
Or maybe there's more to this story. Maybe CNN, or Morgan, or both, have had a change of heart.
