Fox? Fox Who? Does Broadcasting & Cable know how to cover its own industry? Or should it be called "Broadcasting & CLUELESS"? Which covers the television business, SORT OF?

Does Broadcasting & Cable cover the whole industry--or just some of it?  An October 18 article in B&C, headlined "Big Turnout by Sponsors for Midterm Elections" managed to get information about sponsorships for CNN, MSNBC, and even Comedy Central.   And it made at least a mention of the broadcasters.  But bizarrely, no mention of Fox News, the channel that everyone agrees is the biggest single player in the biz--indeed, Fox is "the most powerful name in news."

The full article is behind a paywall, but suffice it to say that B&C reporter Jon Lafayette apparently couldn’t get FNC on the phone to talk about their election sponsors.  Or couldn't be bothered.  Or maybe Lafayette's dog ate his phone.  But in the meantime, MediaPost’s Wayne Friedman got all the details on FNC’s sponsor for election night--hooray, by the way, for Infiniti and Norfolk Southern Railroad!  I will make Infiniti my next car, and Norfolk Southern my next railroad car!

How could B&C not have the info on Fox?  Beats The Cable Gamer.   But in any case, Broadcasting & Cable should change its name.  It should now be Broadcasting & CLUELESS!
