MSNBC's Mystifying "Lean Forward" campaign doesn't just mean "Lean Left." It also means, "Lean Yellow." And so what does that mean?

A very strange, very well-funded, very yellow MSNBC ad campaign seems to have taken over Politico earlier today.   Interesting that the color scheme, screen-grabbed here from Politico's home page, has nothing to do with the look of parent NBCU, or current overall owner GE, or soon-to-be overall owner Comcast.  It's a whole new thing; the only legacy iconography is the itty bitty NBC peacock.  Everything else is different.

One is thus left to wonder: Is MSNBC consciously trying to differentiate itself from the rest of NBCU, or does GE or Comcast want to see MSNBC looking as different as possible for their own reasons?
