Bill Sammon, Fair & Balanced Hero: We SHOULD be skeptical of "climate change." Sammon should be receiving a journalistic prize, not opprobrium.

Politico reports on the effort by Media Matters to smear Bill Sammon, the Fox News DC bureau chief.  As Politico's Keach Hagey reports:

“Given the controversy over the veracity of climate change data,” Sammon wrote, “we should refrain from asserting that the planet has warmed (or cooled) in any given period without IMMEDIATELY pointing out that such theories are based upon data that critics have called into question. It is not our place as journalists to assert such notions as facts, especially as this debate intensifies.”

So Sammon is being completely fair & balanced here: He is simply noting that Fox News reporters and writers should not pretend that climate change (that phrase itself a signficant de-escalation from the old phrase, "global warming") is a settled issue.

Because it's not.   As sites such as Climate Depot have been making clear for years, if anything, Sammon was too soft on the climate-hoaxsters.  And as recent events, such as the failed Cancun conference, have demonstrated, the nations of the world--the ones that produce things, at least--have had just about enough of this whole climate foolishness.
