Strictly speaking, AP, John Roberts wasn't lost, he was pushed out. But we know that Sarah Palin got a bad deal from the same AP.

But this is the sort of headline that you get when the Associated Press likes you. In this case, the AP likes both John Roberts and CNN.  So we get this soft header, which minimizes the embarrassment to Roberts. There's nothing wrong with being nice, of course, but not if such niceness comes at the expense of accuracy. 

By constrast, if the AP doesn't like you, you get treated--make that mistreated--like Sarah Palin
