David Brock defines progressivism as illicit sex--he should know!

David Brock, writing for--where else?--the trendy-left Daily Beast, writes his own history of the late 90s, asserting the following, about conservative/Republican opposition to President Bill Clinton.

The anti-Clinton craziness had nothing to do with the Clintons; it had to do, now as then, with fear of progressive governance. Now as then, outrage will be fabricated at the slightest provocation and scandals will be doggedly pursued even after they are factually refuted.

So the criticism of Bill Clinton was nothing but fear of his "progressive governance," eh? And what does that mean?  Few on the left think that Clinton was a true leftist; it's more accurate to say that he was a libertarian, or libertine.

And so no wonder Brock likes him.
