In 2006, a bunch of nihilistic conspiratorial left-wing moviemakers made "Death of a President," depicting the assassination of George W. Bush. Imaginary, of course, but no doubt much-hoped-for in the minds of the moviemakers. That film debuted at the Toronto Film Festival, and received respectful attention from critics, even if audiences stayed away.
Still, where was the media reaction then? [Crickets]
