"Saturday Night Live" on "Parker Spitzer": A new satiric torment for CNN to come?

The NYC-based brains behind "Saturday Night Live" take it as a fait accompli that Kathleen Parker is a goner from her CNN show;  last night "SNL" created a skit around the joke that former NY Governor David Paterson would be the right replacement for her.  In other words, Eliot Spitzer would be joined by a fellow disgraced ex-NY governor.  Although, of course, Paterson's embarrassments pale beside Spitzer's.

Still, The Cable Gamer has to believe that NBC types, mindful that CNN is a rival to NBC's sibling, MSNBC, enjoyed the idea of mocking CNN's problems.

That's Bill Hader, playing Spitzer, above; on the show, he made jokes about himself-as-Spitzer, calling himself "The Bone Ranger," and so on.    It would, indeed, be painful for CNN is "SNL" continues to draw a bead on "___ Spitzer."
