New York Times' Bill Keller attacks Fox News--again

Written By mista sense on Monday, March 7, 2011 | 8:04 AM

Bill Keller, the executive editor of the New York Times,  seems to have a new strategy: attack Fox News.   As Cutline's Joe Pompeo reports, Keller told an audience at the City University of New York journalism school:

"I think if you're a regular viewer of Fox News, you're among the most cynical people on planet Earth," Keller snarled. "I cannot think of a more cynical slogan than 'Fair and Balanced.'"

Interesting that Pompeo chose to word the "snarled."  TCG wasn't at the Keller session, but she has no doubt that "snarled" is the right word.

The question, of course, is why Keller is carrying on this fight against Fox News.  Maybe he thinks it will help position his fading newspaper as being at the forefront of the liberal fight against Fox.  Or maybe he just gets up every morning hating Fox.

In the illustration above we see Keller unmasked as he really is--a nasty vampire, masquerading as a journalist.
