Yesterday on the debut of Wolf Blitzer's "Situation Room," resident Walter Matthau impersonator/wind-up curmudgeon Jack Cafferty referred to Fox News as "wild miscreants at the f-word network." Let's think about Cafferty's word choices for a second, in light of the 2003 incident in which Cafferty allegedly ran over a bicyclist and kept going:
"A traffic officer and about five pedestrians ran after Cafferty's car to stop him after the accident, but Cafferty drove through at least two red lights and around other vehicles without stopping, dragging the bike beneath his car, according to a police complaint."
Now that's wild miscreant behavior. The bicyclist, I mean--he was probably just a wild miscreant who couldn't escape the Cafferty patrol, and deserved what he got. Right?
