CNN: Parsons shaking, Walton baking, Klein quaking?

The Cable Game hears that CNN News Group president Jim Walton has been meeting with Court TV's Henry Schleiff about taking the helm of CNN/Headline News.

Schleiff is known to be a favorite of Time Warner top dog Dick Parsons--TW owns half of CTV. Schleiff is no doubt using that internal corporate mojo as he seeks this new gig. But what does this mean for CNN prexy Jon Klein?

Would CNN really make a move of this magnitude a mere nine months into Klein's tenure? If so, that's huge. But Walton’s talks with Schleiff are real.

And Schleiff has brought some bragging rights to the table: Court TV beat CNN in the ratings in July and isn't shy about saying so: check out the Court TV press release. No doubt they're all just one big happy family in the house that Gerry Levin and Steve Case built. But it sure looks like some are a lot happier than others.
