Grazie mille to The Independent Gaming Source for bringing my attention to this list of 17 upcoming point-and-click adventure titles for this year. Best news of all? Freeware, baby. I'm psyched, since it's been a long time since I hovered a disembodied eye over a character's face and laughed at the juxtaposition, or stuck the little pointy-finger hand tool in someone's nose. Yeah, I'm easily amused, but come on-- you've all done it. Admit it.
The above screenshot is from The Marionette, a work-in-progress by Team Effigy; the 2006 demo (direct download here) was one of Indygamer's best 20 freeware browser adventures for the year.
