Cable Game Wisdom From The Heartland

A Cable Gamer, Danny L. McDaniel, of Lafayette, Indiana, writes such a shrewd post in response to my "Decline and Fall of the CNN Empire" post that I am posting it, not only as a comment, but as a post!
This is definitely a history book. The decline of CNN started after the first Gulf War nearly 20 years. The zenith of the CNN started to decline when the cancelled such programs as "Crossfire"and to a certian extent when they lost Glen Beck to FOX. For CNN to get back in the game, if that's what they want to do, they need to revamp their programming and act like they have competition. MSNBC would be wise to look closely at their programming too, so not to replicate the demise of their network based on the CNN model. Enough of the inside prison programs and the one-sided cheerleading sections pretending to news shows for Obama called Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.
Thanks, Danny! It would be great if CNN and MSNBC followed your advice, but something tells me that they won't.
