
TV Newser offers a fun feature tonighta series of poll questions, asking TVNewsers to predict what's coming next in TV news. All the questions are fun, and worth voting on, but the question that most caught TCG's eye was "Which cable network will end 2010 with the same prime time lineup?" And as you can see from the results, 61 percent of clickers said Fox would have the exact same lineup, a year from now, which is nearly nine times the percentage of MSNBC, nearly seven times the percentage at HLN, and more than 20 times the percentage for CNN. That is, while most see continuity at Fox, few see continuity at MSNBC, HLN, or CNN.
And to say "discontinuity" is a way of saying, "It's been nice knowing you, Anderson Cooper, or Campbell Brown, and Ed Schultz, to name just three who belong on any shortlist of short-timers.
