"Have Republicans Been Out-Foxed? Some conservatives are beginning to question whether Fox News is good for their movement." That's the pseudo-question and pseudo argument posed by liberal dinosaur MSM Newsweek. Author Eve Conant can't find Republican and conservative powerbrokers to bolster her argument, because none of would agree with her anti-Fox spin.
So instead she trots out the likes of David Frum and Bruce Bartlett, both of them Fox-bashers and also Republican-bashers. Frum and Bartlett are entitled to their opinions, but they can hardly be said to speak for the Republican Party. And of course, Newsweek pulls up an old quote Sen. Tom Coburn, the Useful Idiot from Oklahama. Coburn took a swing at Fox last month, and he hasn't repeated those words since. He seems to have learned his lesson, although, of course, his stupid words will cheer up liberals for years to come.
Read the article for yourself, but in fact, you only look at the features surrounding the article to see where Newsweek is coming from--Ezra Klein bashes tea partiers to the delight of MSNBC, and Newsweek itself makes fun of town hallers. Once you see that Newsweek has an obvious anti-Fox agenda, then you can see where Conant's article is coming from.
