Valerie Jarrett on MSM Nostalgia--and in the Bubble of Delusion

Blogging for Commentary's must-read Contentions, Pete Wehner plucks out a revealing quote from White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, lamenting the days when Walter Cronkite ruled the airwaves.

As Wehner sets it up:

She looks back wistfully to a time when credible people could put a stamp of reliability on information and opinion: “Walter Cronkite would get on and say the truth, and people believed the media,” she says.

And so we see a reminder as to why Fox is so necessary.  Liberals such as Jarrett really believe that fellow liberals such as Cronkite were telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.    For those who don't remember Cronkite--he retired as anchor of the CBS Evening News back in 1981--here's a summary of his liberal-left career, courtesy of the Media Research Center.

Jarrett is living in her own liberal-left fantasy land--her own bubble of delusion.
