General Electric profits up 77%. So how will CNBC/MSNBC/NBC cover this news?

General Electric, the notorious tax-scofflaw company whose CEO,  Jeff Immelt, doubles as Barack Obama's "jobs czar," still owns 49 percent of NBC-Universal, so don't expect much coverage of GE's profit spike.  Were GE to pay a lot of taxes on those profits, that would get covered, but of course, GE doesn't pay taxes.

UPDATE: NBC Nightly News mentioned GE profits on its broadcast tonight, as part of a larger story on corporate profits.  Kudos to Brian Williams.
