The half-brained bigots known formally as the NewsHounds (the "We watch FOX so you don't have to" bloggers) want all their news uniformly bad, sad, and negative and they want it pronto. Normal people accept that when the news is bad, it's bad, when it's sad, it's sad, and when it's good, take it. But the NewsHounds choose to accentuate only the negative, and get their tails in a twist when Fox News reports both the good news and the bad:
Today we didn't have happy Iraqi stories on Studio B with Shepard Smith. We had happy Katrina stories. While most of the stories were about the grit and determination of the New Orleans and Mississippi people, Smith waited until the end to touch on some very important points.
Like I reported most of the stories were happy in nature, with the focus on rebuilding lives and rebuilding homes and schools...
Because, as we all know, Katrina wasn't horrible enough, so every effort must be made to keep all the news bad, so we may all continue to feel hopeless. Why, as a matter of fact, all news outlets should be constrained from reporting stories like that of Phil Fricano, shown above reunited with his rescued dog in New Orleans after Katrina. Right? Right?
