Chris Ariens, writing for TV Newser, relates how Vivian Schiller, who was fired from NPR, for supporting a culture of intolerant lefties, is now going to a big job at NBC--chief digital officer.
The hiring of Schiller says a LOT about NBC, and its future under Comcast. Even without Keith Olbermann, the NBC/MSNBC/Comcast combine is continuing to occupy the hard left, or even move to the left.
Is this really what Comcast CEO Brian Roberts wants for his expanded media empire? Evidently so. And wasn't COO Steve Burke supposed to be a Republican or something? Evidently not, at least not in any meaningful way. He might claim to be a Republican, for public consumption, but in his business decisionmaking, its obvious that Burke is as willing to play ball with the left as any of them.
The Cable Game did the above graphic awhile back, and it obviously fits even better, now.
